Different Players

How can I be able to play videos on the VLC player and when I want to, play videos on Windows Media player? Thanks.

Right click the file and choose the "Open with" command.

When I right click on certain files it does not give me that option.

That's because you didn't make an association to that file type when installing VLC.

go to open with, then select a program. vlc need not be there in the menu
