Media Icons not showing

Postby AshenSugar » 20 Jun 2007 02:18

Ok i just want the VLC icon on the media i assocaite with it(all but audio files, for them i use TCMP as to me its a better audio only player)

i currently get a blank file icon(like windows dosnt know what kind of file it is, this started after i reinstalled windows and current VLC(my other VLC install had been updated from 8.4-8.6 and probly even lower versions)

I miss that little cone!!!!!! (yeah yeah, i know some hate the cone, i dont, im quite fond of it)

as to a post i found about making better icons for diffrent media types, meh, that would be ok, maby look at the way TCMP did it, the color of the cone could indocate the media/file type, blue for one type, gree, red, orange, exct for diffrent media formats like ogg/ogm, mkv/mka, well im sure you understand what im getting at :)

well any help for getting my avi/mkv/ogm and the like to show the proper icon again will be greatly appricated(sp)

i have reset/cleared the icon cache, i have set windows so it knows VLC is to open those files(they open properly, but i want my proper icon back!!!)

thanks for the help :)

Do it in the reinstallation process.
