0.8.6b teletext almost perfect...

Postby roglan » 09 May 2007 23:29

First of all I would like to say thank you to the VLC team for implementing teletext subtitles to VLC! :D
There is however a few small items that needs to be changed in order for it to work perfect.

1. Subtitle Teletext decoding
If you watch a TV channel with teletext for different countries, they all come out at one after another. There is no way of control what country text is being displayed. If you live in Sweden and want to see swedish subtitles, you might end up with dutch subtitles if Dutch is the last in the chain.

2. A suggestion would be to implement subtitle page in the playlist. This way you do not have to turn subtitles on for every channel change, and you could specify a specific page if needed.

3. Changing Deinterlace during play causes subtitles to disappear. Setting Deinterlace to discard causes a strange font.

Appart from these "features", its great progress!

Thanks again!
