Ya! The timing is going to be screwed up! Use MPEG TS with video. For just MP3 audio files try using Raw. This may not be the best answer either because VLC likes to have control of the transcode for streaming.

One more thing

Postby e6964822 » 13 Apr 2007 09:56

Thank you very mush for your answer :0)

I try to put RAW but an error come:

[00000386] mux_dummy private: Open
[00000381] main input error: no suitable access module for `file/directory:C:\te
mp\MP3LIS~1\mp3\'
[00000390] stream_out_standard private error: for now udp and rtp are only valid
with TS
[00000393] mux_dummy private: Open
[00000388] main input error: no suitable access module for `file/directory:C:\te
mp\MP3LIS~1\mp3\'

----------------------------------------

With first scrip I can hear the sound in one receptor VLC. But why an error come from console if the script send music well?

C:\ARCHIV~1\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe -I dummy file/directory:C:\temp\MP3ListPlayer\mp3\ --random --sout=#std{access=rtp,mux=ts,7,url=224.2.164.59:5440} -L

[00000946] main input error: no suitable access module for `file/directory:C:\te
mp\MP3ListPlayer\mp3\'

Thank you very mush :0)

When you have issues with streaming, try transcoding to file and watch messages. Then try playing that file. This assumes there are no errors in the source file(s) and the transcoded file should also be quiet (error free).

I don't see anything on your command "dummy file/directory:", try using a playlist instead rather than trying to generate a playlist on the fly. Try not using RTP and MPEG TS.
