Transcoding problem

Postby captaintrav » 26 Mar 2007 16:40

I'm trying to transcode a UDP stream, and I can only get output with the H264 codec. If I try h263 or divx, I get:

Code: Select all

ffmpeg error: cannot open encoder stream_out_transcode error: cannot find encoder ((null)) stream_out_transcode error: cannot create video chain main error: cannot create packetizer output (mpgv)
Am I doing something wrong, or what. I did read the FAQs, and I am using a supported container...

I have got the same error when I tryinging to stranscode a mpeg2&ps file to h263$ts or h263&avi.

I think there may be some bugs in ffmpeg or the ffmpeg_plugin.dll with vlc at present can not surport encoding to h263.

Your still not answering the questions here.

The AVI container was never finished and still doesn't work in 0.8.6-bugfix.
