Getting the right settings and file association

Postby petermidi » 09 Mar 2007 18:26

HI there,
This is a conversion/save question.

I've found that settings:
MPeg ps
video codec mp4v, bitrate 512,scale 0.5
audio codec mp3, bitrate 32 channels 1
Seems to give me a nice small usable output.

Can anyone suggest a better combination that would give better results without compromosing watchability?

And how do I persuade videolan to be associated with the mpeg ps files - at the moment I have to select videolan manually each time I want to open a file.

Thank you
P

MPEG PS files should have an extension of .mpeg and only contain MPEG 2 formats for compatibility.

If I add the .mpeg extension, then they are associated with videolan.

(Should I need to do that manually or should the program output files with the .mpeg extension?)

Extensions must be added when you name the file.

As far as associations go, this is done at the time of install and is your choice.
