skin problem

Postby wendy123 » 01 Mar 2007 04:37

just started using this program, really great used to use divx player before but now a vlc person.

the problem is that when ever i set a skin the buttons for full screen stop working i use Alt+Enter to full screen and to return to normal and the weird thing is that it works the first time and im able to return back to the orional view then if i want too full screen again its dosent work, i have also tried this with the default button (f) same thing.

P.S
im using the k lite mega pack for all my codes is that good or is there a better codec pack out there

VLC version: OVER 9000!!!
Operating System: It's...blue screen
Location: Heaven? No no. What's that other place that starts with an "H"? Oh yes: Home. ^_^

I have that same problem as-well: press the fullscren hotkey (f) but it only works twice. I found that if you deselect the player and then select it again then it will reactivate the function… I know, not all that practical.

The K-lite codec pack wont matter. VLC media player uses its own built-in codecs to decode a video; it's not a dshow player.

I always tap on the screen with the mouse. Works every time. While the hot keys have never been reliable. I mean way back to the beginning of VLC. But 0.8.6 at least allows most of them to work in a Windowed mode where they used to only work in a full screen mode. Oh! Yes, 0.8.5 was an improvement too, because if you toggled modes at least once it would work in both modes.

VLC uses it's own libraries to decode and encode media files and it is not a Direct Show player so Windows codecs will not effect it.

I haven't noticed a difference between wxWidgets and the skins2 module in this regard and I use both in non-embedded modes.
