VLC won't open

Postby grantg » 17 Feb 2007 17:46

All of a sudden, when I click to launch vlc player I get an error report saying 'VLC media player has encountered a problem and needs to close' with option to send error report to microsoft. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks.

You can try to reset your preferences folder:
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\vlc\vlcrc

Right-click anywhere on the player and scroll down to “Miscellaneous” and at the bottom of that menu you’ll see the “Preferences” folder. Is this what you meant?
