VIRB 360 Camera - unsupported video codec?

Hi all-I have a VIRB 360 action cam that outputs video at 5760x2880 VLC identifies the codec as "H264 - MPEG-4 AVC (part10) (avc1)" with frame rate 29.970029

When I attempt to play, I just get a black screen while hearing the audio. I've tried TOOLS->PREFERENCES->ALL-> unchecking both "drop late frames" and "skip frames" in attempt to force all frames but I still have a blank video. Is there anything else I can do to get video (even if it's not full resolution?)

Please open Tools -> Messages (set Verbosity to 2) before you start the playback, and then paste the full resulting log here or on Pastebin.com if it's too long.

Also please upload a short sample of a problematic file to either Zippyshare.com (200 MB max) or to EmbedUpload.com, the latter will upload the file for you to several other hosts (use the default ones) and then post the link to the file here.

If needed cut it with DGsplit and read here about how to do it:
