No Cover Art when streaming .mp3

I use VLC to stream podcasts (.mp3s) from the web. Basically click on the address, example: http://c.espnradio.com/s:5L8r1/audio/81 ... 115.48.mp3 and have my browser open the mp3 in VLC. It works great, but VLC does not show the album art within the mp3. If I save the mp3 and then open the file it works.

Basically asking for more robust covert art support. Using VLC media player 1.2.0-pre1 Twoflower in Ubuntu 11.10

For performance reasons, preparsing is not done for remote files.
