building vlc for angstrom linux for arm kit (compul cmt3530)

hi.

i want to capture video from a usb camera attached to my TI based omap 3X ( ARm cortex 8) cm t3530 eval kit (manufacturer compulab).

how shall i build vlc for this purpose. i am using fedora core 14. i am new to all this embedded work, please elaborate in detail.

there is no such doc by compulab.. they say refer to videolan for support and this does not fall in their support scope.

A normal VLC with v4l2 module should play webcams.

I mean toolchain documentation. VLC uses the GNU "standard" build system, not much particular about it.

not able to find most of the files mentioned in http://wiki.videolan.org/ARM-XCompile

i am using ubuntu 11.04 on host pc and my kit works on kernel 2.6.32

it says

# linux-2.4.19.tar.bz2
# patch-2.4.19-rmk4.bz2

does it mean that i have to compile kernel 2.4.19 for the kit, or something else?
