Hi all!

Using Ubuntu 10.10 32 bits, vlc 1.1.9, I've played some DVD folders and I watch some feather white lines, specially when text appear in the screen (the feather lines appear close to the text).

Why do I get these lines? How can I solve it?

Thanks,

videoclock

It looks like it is part of the DVD... If not, then it is probably a bug in the video driver. A bug in VLC would almost certainly not look like that.

You can try to enable deinterlacing to reduce the defect.

Oh, sorry, you was right: it's part of the DVD. I've also noticed it with Totem.

It seems that the DVD was recorded from an old VHS, so the bad quality from the VHS was ported to the DVD.
