Hi

I have switched from Ubuntu to Kubuntu 11.04 and experienced a small problem with VLC 1.1.9 on KDE.
In full screen mode, the VLC screen flickers when you change volume and a transparent KDE volume control OSD appears on the screen.

I'm getting this same issue on Arch with KDE4.6. I found that turning off desktop effects (Alt+Shift+F12) is a workaround.
