VLC 1.06 DVD playback problems

Hi! I have two Disney DVD discs, which does not playback regularly: Pixar Cars and Cars: Mater‘s Tall Tales. Plyaback stucks suddenly and then jumps ca. 10 seconds forward. This happens near new chapter always. It seems that VLC can not handle correctly these Disney DVD's. How can I get them work? I am using Mythbuntu 10.04, which uses VLC 1.06 version.

Not sure if this helps much, but others seem to be having the same problem:
