vlc giving XVID error on fedora 10

HI friends,
well, i have installed vlc on fedora 10 with the help of my friend from this forum only, but now whenever am trying to play any of the video file. i am getting following error. please help me in this. I am able to hear voice only, there is no video. please help

No suitable decoder module:
VLC does not support the audio or video format "XVID". Unfortunately there is no way for you to fix this.

so what shall i do now,
i also tried to remove n install vlc again. please suggest.

There is nothing to suggest than to ugrade your distro. fedora 10 is EOL
