error about rtsp

Hi!
I have installed VLC in my linux, but when want to open a stream error occured.
While I inputting IP address of the server, the console said"[0x863d738] main interface error: option rtsp-caching does not exist". When I pressed play button after inputting IP address, the it said"main access error: no access module mathed "rtsp" " and"main input error: open of `rtsp://x.x.x.x' failed: no access module matched "rtsp" ".
What wrong with it? Thanks in advance.

live555 plugin is missing.

I have added "--enable-live555 --with-live555-tree=/usr/lib/live" but the error still occurs.

Could you give me a little more information and guide please? I am really frustrated by it. I don't know whether it is the fault of installing live555 or the fault of configuring vlc? Thanks a lot.

I am really frustrated by the problem. I have add "--enable-live --with-live-tree=/usr/lib" and the live555 module has been included by vlc after configuring, but the rtsp module still doesn't work. Any help will be appreciated.
