Odd colors after new install on OpenSUSE 11.1

I have just installed VLC 1.03, first on Ubuntu 8.04 on a notebook, and then on OpenSUSE 11.1 on a PC. The first one works fine. On OpenSUSE it plays DVDs OK, but the colors are rather odd. Specifically people's faces are distinctly blue... Is there a fix for this ? I installed libdvdcss along with VLC.

It's very very likely to be a video card driver bug
