panoramix plugin

Good morning folks. I would like to know if panoramix is still included on the latest version of vlc and would like to know if it's working properly now on linux. I remember back in 2007, Cedric C told me that there are some problems when using this plugin in linux.

Thanks.

is there something I need to add to enable panoramix?

I took this from my notes.

./configure --enable-x11 --enable-xvideo --enable-x264 --enable-lirc --enable-gpl --enable-pp --enable-pthreads --disable-gtk --enable-sdl --enable-ffmpeg --with-ffmpeg-mp3lame --enable-libmp3lame --enable-mad --enable-libdvbpsi --enable-a52 --enable-libmpeg2 --enable-dvdnav --enable-vorbis --enable-ogg --enable-theora --enable-faac --enable-mkv --enable-freetype --enable-fribidi --enable-speex --enable-flac --enable-caca --enable-skins --enable-skins2 --enable-alsa --disable-kde --enable-qt --enable-wxwindows --enable-ncurses --enable-release

I just tried it and look what I got:

extern size_t iconv (iconv_t cd, char * *inbuf, size_t *inbytesleft, char * *outbuf, size_t *outbytesleft);
checking for buggy GNU/libc versions... found
configure: error: Buggy GNU/libc (version 2.5 - 2.7) present. VLC would crash; there is no viable
work-around for this. Check with your distribution vendor on how to update the
glibc run-time. Alternatively, build with --disable-nls --disable-mozilla and
be sure to not use LibVLC from other applications/wrappers.
