Quit, Mute and Speaker from VLC Webserver's index.html?

Postby Repto » 12 Jul 2009 23:02

Hi
I've been playing around with the http interface. The default setup works very well. I note there are mute and speaker icons, which are not implemented, there is no quit icon. Its not hard to add these in, however as best I can tell the commands for these are not there? How can I enable that functionality from the web page? (BTW VLC is REALLY cool, very well done the people involved) If its of any interest I have added icons onto the page that combine the page into an almost complete remote - so can change volume and channels from a wifi phone. Just need the mute and full quit. Hmmm actually maybe I can do mute by a larger volume increment? Then need to restore the same amount of volume. The quit is still a mystery. Any suggestions would be welcomed please. Reference http://www.videolan.org/doc/play-howto/en/apb.html is all I could find on this. BTW I have been doing this on XP, but also want it to work the same on Linux.
