I have two audio files, both of which were recorded directly to disk in the same recording session (i.e. same settings, same setup etc). One file is known-good and plays back perfectly in VLC. The other is corrupt and won't open in VLC. I'm looking for a way to recover the audio in the corrupt file.
The known good file shows the following under Codec Details in VLC:
Code: Select all
Stream 0
Codec: twos
Language: English
Type: Audio
Channels: 1
Sample rate: 48000 Hz
Bits per sample: 16
Bitrate: 768 kb/s
Stream 1
Codec: twos
Language: English
Type: Audio
Channels: 1
Sample rate: 48000 Hz
Bits per sample: 16
Bitrate: 768 kb/s
So - here's my question. Is there a way I can force VLC to open and play back the corrupt file in exactly the same way that it opens and plays back the known-good file?
Any help greatly appreciated!
Thanks
James
