remove/downgrade

Postby quorthon » 18 May 2009 10:21

hello

I've just compiled and installed 1.0.0 rc1 Goldeneye according to this page:
http://wiki.videolan.org/UnixCompile

How can I completely remove this version and reinstall an older version (like 0.99)? Thanks for your help.
Peter

You can uninstall by calling "make uninstall" in the same way you called "make install", from your build tree.

You can then install another version from your repositories or from another compilation based on 0.9.9 sources.

Which assumes you have not removed or modified your build tree since you installed. Otherwise, you have to remove files by hand (tedious).
