text no longer shows up when i adjust delay

i use to see text everytime i try an manually sync the audio/video, but lately nothing shows up, but the "delay" keys still work, its just hard to figure out without the text.

i havent changed any settings so i dont know what i could do to make it appear again.

any thoughts?

to further clarify the issue im having , when i say text i mean for example [-50ms, -100ms, or +50ms, +100ms] it will appear in the upper left of the video player when trying to sync the video. but it doesnt show at all now
