Postby ramprasad85 » 22 Oct 2008 13:06

Hi all
I am using Fedora 9 i386.
i have downloaded the vlc source from http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-sources.html
I wish to save time by using contrib packages.
from where can i install all the contrib packages to be able to compile VLC for my system.
how do i install the contrib packages.
Thank you in advance

1) you should use the vlc packages provided by your distro

2) if you really want to build, get the libraries from your distro
