Viewing a UDP stream

Postby zmsc1 » 25 Aug 2008 21:29

Hi All,

I've set up VLC on my server and on my desktop PC, and I think I've set the server streaming some video. I want to view the video on my desktop machine, but I don't know how. I assume I use VLC in client mode and I've tried to open the stream using the UDP protocol. The GUI asks me to fill in an IP address, which gives me two problems. Firstly, I don't know what address to put in here, secondly the address box is greyed out so I can't put any address in! Can someone advise please?

i think, the IP will be of ur video streaming server........and to list the address, you have to select the appropriate radio box , since u see it as greyed

On the sender you need to put the receiver IP address. On the receiver, you just open the UDP protocol.
