Create multicast loop of jpg or png photos?

Postby jac1d » 17 Feb 2008 23:34

Is there a way with the vlc command line streamer to create a looping udp multicast stream (ie a slideshow) of a series of digital photos, either with or without transitions between them, but with a set delay before changing the photo?

IE I'd like to take a directory of high resolution landscape photos and loop them out to an HDTV in a display area using VLC. Is this possible?

Thanks in advance,

-Jeff

You can do that, but you cannot set the delay.

Is there an example of this anywhere?

I may be able to do some scripting to cook up a delay or string multiple files together if I have some direction on the appropriate VLC command line entries.

Thanks

-Jeff
