Newbie TV Streaming Question

Postby bauereri » 08 Nov 2007 22:43

Hello,

I have a newbie question about streaming TV. If I install VLC in my linux box equipped with a TV tuner card, can I(for instance) have three different users watching 3 different channels at one time?

Thanks,

Eric

If Your have DVB card, the answer is YES, but all channels must be on same transponder.

Is there a comprehensive list of which DVB cards are supported by VLC? I found a short list on the WIKI, but there was only one DVB-C card there. Is there more?

Thanks,

Eric

You can see http://linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/Main_Page for supported from linux kernel dvb cards. If Your card is listed, the vlc will work.
