Can not play trp file problem

I installed vlc0.8.6b on FC5. When I played an avi file, sound and video were OK. I tried to play trp file, however vlc did not rend neither video nor sound. I also played this file on WinXP well. The messages sent by vlc running on FC5:

When running on FC5, vlc used demux2 module "ps". On the contrary, when running on WinXP, vlc used demux2 module "ts". This may be the root of problem?

That file contained H.264 data streaming over rtp. The parameter of the rtp file is:
Video: c=tag=0x81 16:9 ESrate=128kbps HS=320 PS=180 PS_SEI=no
Sound: c_tag=0x83 24kHz AAC+SBR ESrate=96kbps Mode=stedeo Samp=24kHz TNS=no

Sorry, I was confused. When I looked up the libraries vlc made, I found libps but libts. So I tried to compile ffmpeg --enable-demuxer=mpegts then vlc still did not make libts library. Then I tried to compile ffmpeg --disable-demuxers . vlc still made all demux libaried. I thinks the modules vlc made do not depend on features ffmpeg enable. My working looks funny since I am a newbie in Linux and have begun to install vlc several day before . When list modules of vlc, it show 2 times:

ps MPEG-PS demuxer

Is there any problem with ts demuxer and ps demuxer?

Above is my thinks, but I do not know how to solve. Can you help me?
