Hi,

Unfortunately, I don't have any information about the Novell Linux Desktop 9. Most likely, the 9.3 repository would work for your installation, but the 9.3 repository is broken as of this time.

Normally, in the NLD9 environment, you will have many missing dependencies. But for sure it's worth a try.

You could also try to download the RPMs directly from http://download.videolan.org/pub/vlc/SuSE/9.3/i586 (start with vlc, then try to install using rpm -ihv vlc-*.rpm and follow the dependency chain. most things should be available in the repository... others might be available on the NLD9 CD/DVD)
