AverMedia Bt878 configuration for vlc

Postby tamray » 19 Apr 2007 21:18

I have installed an AverMedia TV tuner card with the BT878 chip set on my Ubuntu 6.10 box. I cannot get any video to display when setting up a capture . I am attached to the composite interface. Regardless if there is any video attached the display on vlc shows about a 1/2" of snow, and the rest black. I have changed the channel input to "1", but that has not made any difference. Any ideas what I need to change, or add?

Here is the output of lspci & lsmod
