Can't close VLC with DVDs in HD folders ... audio goes on

I ripped my DVDs to my HDD and can run them no problem.
I use Ubuntu 7.04.
The problem is when I close VLC, the audio of the DVD goes on.
I have to kill the process in the System Monitor.
I don't have this problem with other video files nor audio files, just DVDs.

Any idea?

It happens ALWAYS when I close the VLC player not stoping the DVD previously.
If I stop the DVD and then close the VLC player it works perfect.

Is this a bug not reported yet ?

I can confirm this happens on Ubuntu 7.10 with vlc 0.8.6.release.c-0ubuntu5 package as well.

I did a ps -ef after closing vlc and found that wxvlc is still running in the background which is causing the sound to continue playing. Killing it through the command-line does the trick.

I think in order to submit this as a bug, we need to go to the vlc channel on irc (dont remember the server and channel) and ask for a bugtracker login. Also, we could test to see if the bug exists in a nightly build before we submit a proper bug. See http://nightlies.videolan.org/#debian.

If you find time to do this, please do and let me know. Otherwise, I'll probably get around to doing it later this week.

Ok, I just logged on IRC and talked a developer. He asked me to test a nightly since he reckons it'll be fixed in one of those. Will have to do that before anything else.

I can't talk to a developer unless he speaks spanish. I don't feel confident enough with my english level.
