Seems to work OK on my system. What isn't working? Another alternative is to use the vlc plugin and embed movies in a web page.

okay, just using a webserver on the server side and the plugin on the client side is working, of course. but the performance is bad...

My problem: I tried that.[/b]

SERVER:
terminal 1: vlc --ttl 12 -vvv --color -I telnet --telnet-password videolan --rtsp-host 192.168.4.7:5554
terminal 2:vlc --intf telnet
terminal 3:telnet localhost 4212

then in telnet to create a new object:
1 command: new Video vod enabled
2 command: setup Video input /usr/share/videolan/Hardcore.mpeg

CLIENT:
->open vlc->open network stream->rtsp://192.168.4.7:5554/Video->okay

but it doesn't work, it was unable to open rtsp://192.168.4.7:5554/Video

:cry: but where is the mistake??[/u]
