VLC installed from Packman repo.

When playing a video I get an error message and the displayed image is a weird one.

main error: buffer deadlock prevented

How to send a capture ?

Hi,

have the same problem when try to play videos with VLC. I have no video image, video stream is decoded but 0 video frames is rendered.

MX-23.4_x64 Libretto
VLC 3.0.21 Vetinari (3.0.21-0-gdd8bfdbabe8)

VLC log:

I cleared VLC cache, cfg and reinstal it but it not helped. Any ideas how to fix it?

Uninstall the OpenGL/VAAPI backend for VDPAU.

I uninstalled the packet vlc-vdpau

Result : same problem, same error messages

the packet

libvdpau_va_gl1 - VDPAU driver with OpenGL/VAAPI backend

is not installed

Same problem with mpv

no picture and weird sound

If it affects mpv too, then it's most likely an issue with your distro or package repo, and not VLC so probably nobody here can help

I get same message error with video that I can view with mpv.

With VLC, I get only the audio, no picture.

The video is a YouTube video. I downloaded it with "Video download helper". The format is mp4.

No problem with other mp4 videos.
