Playing a datstream - timer has reset to --:-- and --:--

So this VLC player is on Ubuntu 22 and I've been testing a radio.co data stream for over a hundred hours now. I minimized the VLC player to install team viewer and when I clicked back on VLC, the timers showed --:-- and --:--. I checked "Open network stream" from the Media menu and the radio.co URL was no longer there. It was however, still playing the stream! I don't even know where to start with this! Has anyone seen anything similar please?
