Since the upgrade of my fedora system (from 37 to 39) I am having issues with accessing the rtsp stream of my security cam. I am using a KDE desktop.
Initially the problem was that when I opened the rtsp link (with vlc rtsp://...) it asked for the credentials every time. The stream is password protected, but in the past it stored the password in the KDE wallet (I think). Since this behaviour was annoying, I tried to solve it, and at some point I removed the vlc-related info ("folder") in the Wallet Manager, in the hope that it would be re-created correctly. Unfortunately, that didn't work.
Now vlc crashes when I open the rtps link. If I disable the kwallet sybsystem (and log out and in), vlc doesn't crash and opens the link correctly. It also works if I enter the command in a text console (even with kwallet enabled), but only after logging in with su - <username>, so not the one that belongs to the KDE session.
