Interface when trying to build vlc

I might be stupid but i don't know how to get the visual interface when i am building vlc. For the command i tried ./configure and ./configure --enable-qt but afterwards when i run make and i run ./vlc i don't get the visual interface. I am on ubuntu 22.04 lts
