Basic VLC setup for Ubuntu 22.04
Posted: 24 Feb 2024 01:38
Zorin OS 17 (ubuntu 20.24)
VLC 3.0.20 Vetinari downloaded and installed from Zorin "store";
Files (.flac) ripped to Home/John/Music folder. (fre:ac,)
How to add Music folder to VLC?
How to add album art?
How to group music collection by Artist? (then Album, etc.) on the VLC window?
very small Album Art/cover shows up in far right column?
Trying to set up where all Led Zeppelin (or AC/DC, etc) albums are grouped together... somewhat akin to Windows Media Player
Do I need to create a discrete/separate folder for each artist? (within my Music folder)
Does VLC automatically come with .flac " CODEC? or, do I need to download it for my Zorin install?
So far, VLC only plays the first track after right-click, then "open with"
Lastly, can anyone recommend a good youtube video for how to do this?
Lost...
thanks for any useful information,
john
