Beginner question about recording video

Hello everybody,

A newbie question.
I use VLC to record while playing a video in order to EQ the sound in the final copy.
Is there a way to start the original and the recording function at the same time without having to click on both the play and record button manually?

To convert a whole media, you need to use the save/convert wizard, not the record button
