VLC GUI Does Not Display Properly on Small Screens

I have VLC 3.0.12 installed on Raspberry PI for Desktop
https://www.raspberrypi.com/software/ra ... i-desktop/ (debian 10 buster) on an old Inspiron Mini 1018 Laptop (notebook). This had a 1024x600 screen.
If I change Preferences-> Appearance Settings -> Defaults -> 'For small screens' then the GUI icons and text do not render. If I change this to 'For medium screens' then it works ok.
Passing this on FWIW in case others have issues on VLC on small, low resolution, screens

Hi, where is the "for small screens" options for VLC? Isn't it from a modified version of VLC?

Sorry, I wasn't clear. The 'Preferences' are in the GUI of the Raspberry Pi for Desktop

This options doesn't seams to exists in the official version of vlc, can you double check how it's named, maybe the version you have installed on your raspberry pi has some additions that aren't part of the main project

Jill, as I noted in my last reply, the Preferences are not in VLC but in the GUI for Raspberry PI for Desktop.
The behavior is that VLC does not seem to be able to handle the small font sizes the GUI sets and my point for posting.

Unfortunately, we don't provide support for sources we don't maintain, you'll need to report this to the Raspberry foundation.
