Hi,

I'd like to play a local mp4 file but VLC is constantly losing sound.
I tried both versions, the snap and the deb, on Ubuntu 20.04.

This is the short log:

Code: Select all

This is the complete log (too long to include in this post):

Could you please help me to fix this?

Thanks & regards,
Mark

I removed VLC and installed Totem.

@InTheWings Thanks for the hint. I'll keep this in mind, if I need a more complex player in the future. For now, Totem is all I need.

If sound stutters after jumping back/forward withhin a video, try to set the audio output to ALSA instead of the default.
