Hi,
I am trying to configure source code of vlc using terminal. I am getting an error that "Could not find lua. Lua is needed for some interfaces (rc, telnet, http) as well as many other custom scripts. Use --disable-lua to ignore this error." . I tried installing lua but again its showing the same error

Hi, you need the development files for lua, not only the library. If you don't want or have it from your distribution, you can compile it from the contrib system.
