Impossible to play a video

Hi everyone,

I am on LinuxMint 19.1.

VLC can play every video I have...except one.
This video, when played by VLC, only play one frame. The time counter is going a bit crazy, staying many seconds on 00:01, and then skipping to 00:04, then going normally during two seconds, then staying at 00:06 during three seconds, etc...

This video is perfectly played with all others players I tried.
This video is the only one that VLC can not read.
I tried to reset all the VLC configuration by deleting /home/me/.config/vlc , but this did not solve anything.

Has someone an idea to solve that ?

Here is the log :

Code: Select all

-- logger module started -- lua: Lua HTTP interface main: Lancement de vlc avec l'interface par défaut. Utilisez « cvlc » pour démarrer VLC sans interface. main error: buffer deadlock prevented avcodec error: more than 5 seconds of late video -> dropping frame (computer too slow ?) avcodec error: more than 5 seconds of late video -> dropping frame (computer too slow ?) avcodec error: more than 5 seconds of late video -> dropping frame (computer too slow ?) avcodec error: more than 5 seconds of late video -> dropping frame (computer too slow ?) avcodec error: more than 5 seconds of late video -> dropping frame (computer too slow ?) avcodec error: more than 5 seconds of late video -> dropping frame (computer too slow ?) avcodec error: more than 5 seconds of late video -> dropping frame (computer too slow ?)
etc....

I don't think my computer is too slow :
CPU : Intel® Core™ i5-4690K CPU @ 3.50GHz × 4
GPU : Nvidia GeForce 970
RAM : 16 Go

Thank you for your help.

Try to disable hardware decoding.
