moizilla/firefox + default sound device?

I have two sound devices in my linux box. When I use vlc from the commandline it chooses the correct sound device as default. But when I use vlc from mozilla/firefox the wrong sound device is used.
How can I set the sound device to be used with the mozilla-plugin?
