Disabling right click menu on screen

Postby OldGeezer » 26 Dec 2018 12:33

I am using version 2.2.2 in Ubuntu 16.04. When I was using Windows before, I was able to eliminate the right click menu on screen altogether. You no longer even see the cursor over the video & right click does nothing. I often watch in bed & I got tired of accidentally leaning on the mouse & something screwy happening to the video. I'm pretty sure I got rid of this option by unchecking "mouse gestures control interface". I tried the same thing in Ubuntu & the mouse cursor is not visible but right click menu still appears. I couldn't find any other related options in preferences. Somehow just now in the middle of who knows where in which episode I rolled over on the mouse & hit quit. As I have had to do MANY times before, now I have to scroll through several episodes & figure out where I left off. If I want to execute commands while playing I can either use hot keys or hit escape & use the regular menus. How can I get rid of the right click in Ubuntu? I do not need or want it. I ran the command line to see if there were any updates & got "vlc is already the newest version (2.2.2-5ubuntu0.16.04.4)"
