Why can't I use the command: vlc -geometry HxW+x+y ?
How can I position the VLC video window automatically?

You can use --video-x and --video-y

The --video-x and --video-y options doesn't work.
Should I launch install configure command (./configure) with a specific option as well to be able to use these options?
