Streaming from Line-In Jack

Hi All,

Forgive me if this isn't in the right place.

Trying to figure out how to stream audio from the line-in jack on my PC via VLC (running on Ubuntu 16.04)

On Windows, I used to go to stream -> capture device -> and I'd use "Direct Show" with "Video" set as none.

There is no direct show option on Linux's VLC, and it seems all the options I try are trying to stream video AND audio.

Any advice would be appreciated.

DirectShow is a Windows-only 'thing'.
What are the options you can select in Capture Mode?

Should be alsa or pulse
