Hardware deinterlacing via VA-API

Hi

Recently I'm going to build a HTPC based on Intel CPUs (Ivy Bridge, Haswell and later).
Hardware deinterlacing is an important feature for me because it frees the resources of the CPU to do more things.
I know hardware deinterlacing in VLC works fine with NVIDIA GPUs via VDPAU, But what about with Intel GPUs?
Does VLC support hardware deinterlacing with Intel GPUs?

It works in VLC 3.0 onward, subject to drivers.

Thanks for quick reply.
I can't wait to build my new HTPC and give it a try.
