DVB subtitles stopped working in vlc v3.0 Worked in v2.2.4

I recently upgraded from Fedora 23 to Fedora 27.
Also VLC was upgraded from v2.2.4 to v3.0.0

Now dvb-subtitles (dvbs) has stopped working. I used to be able to show them enabling from Menu: Subtitle>SubTrack>* in the older VLC.

Now vlc v3.0.0 just complains:
"
Codec not supported:
VLC could not decode the format "telx" (Teletext)

Codec not supported:
VLC could not decode the format "dvbs" (DVB Subtitles)

main error: Codec `dvbs' (DVB Subtitles) is not supported.

"
VLC media player 3.0.0-rc2 Vetinari (revision 3.0.0-rc1-70-g115c4a55a7)
I tried to install vlc-extras, but it didn't solve the problem.

Where and which codec or plugin I should install so DVB-subtitles work again?

Your VLC version is miscompiled.

It was fixed in rpmfusion (vlc-3.0.0-0.48.git20180109.rc5.fc27.x86_64) but somehow hadn't upgraded yet in my system.
