Segmentation fault when loading example module

Postby francescoBLT » 25 May 2017 11:09

Hi to all
I've compiled and installed the example module in the out-of-tree compile:

https://wiki.videolan.org/OutOfTreeCompile/

it compile and generate the libhello_plugin.so. But when I attempt to install the result is in segmentation fault:

VLC media player 2.2.6 Umbrella (revision 2.2.6-0-g1aae78981c)
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

I'm on ubuntu 17.04. I've searched for the core dump file but I didn't found it (as you can see I'm new to linux)
I've searched in /var/log opening the Sys.log file but nothing regarding libhello_plugin in it. What I'm doing wrong ?

Nobody knows what you did except you, and you don't provide much useful infos, so nobody can answer.
