vlc on ReadHat el3

Hi all,
we are using videolan-client-0.8.1-3.1.el3.rf.i386.rpm. after installing this .RPM, we run it....
by command prompt #vlc -I wxwin
VLC window is appeared....but we don't play anything.....
what is the actual problem???? if possiible pls..help me.
if u have any build package pls. give me the URL:...
