Please can you read this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FhKJgqxNDD8
I'd like to send it to my TV with good sound.

I run VLC2.1.6 ubuntu14.04.5 and I get this error () translated) even after I tried adding :network-caching=10000

VLC 2.1.6 is old and unsupported, and YouTube needs frequent updates.

Hi Denis
I installed VLC 2.2.4 in wine. I had same impossible read. Then I found an updated youtube.luac in this site : https://gist.github.com/captn3m0/4231640
I copied the content in a youtube.luac file both in ~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files (x86)/VideoLAN/VLC/lua/playlist and /usr/lib/vlc/lua/playlist after I renamed both originals to youtube.caul.original.
After restarting both ubuntu and windows vlc, I still can't read the video in VLC. I can read it in FF38 & 48.
Does youtube want to prevent us to read their video in VLC ?

Ok, I discovered one can DL the yt videos as mp4 (right click). Then I converted it to TS and pasted in my freebox player.

Many thanks VLC team
